Our first look at Mayor Buck Dewey...least in any relatively 'canon' capacity. Like seriously what da fridge is with that guy that he drove on the board walk? I get wanting to get his truck on the beach but there's gotta be a better way.

Next page will be tomorrow, Wednesday!

And now we see it forwards without the mirror.

Huh?
The gem is always in the back, we never see it on the front part.
All panels with the mirrored front or the gemmed back are correct, they're just at different angles. You can tell from looking at how Steven/Finn is holding it.

They're referring to Mayor Dewey's Truck where in spite of being a reflection in a mirror read RE-ELECT' when it should have, as it was a mirror image, appeared reverse. Unless it was ORIGINALLY reversed which this image proves it wasn't.

Clearly it's because the Mayor passed a law, making it illegal for his signs to be read wrong in any way, even by mirrors that show the knowledge of Gem kind.

It could also be that it's not a normal mirror. Lapis was able to create images in the mirror based on what she 'saw' through it so it's possible that it actually functions more like a camera and thus also corrects the image to not be mirrored.

Or it's just an animation error :D

I accept that head canon. It may have been an animation error, but if it wasn't then that was supposed to be a sign something was different and he wasn't looking into just some mirror.
