So, Quiiiick question @Rastaba?
What is the role of Mary Weers in this universe? the shared universe of Dnd Aangvanced and (maybe) friendship is dragons? she seems like this shadowy background character but nothing is definite or specifiec really. I have a theory, but I was wondering if I'm close?
I think whats happening in the shared "Mary Weers" sub plot is Mrs. Weers is the head of a publishing company, she hears about all these neat homebrew campaigns that arent copyrighted, at cons or through the grapevine, and is copying them: plots, characters, worlds, Rebranding them with the Weers Publishing name and selling them for max profit; leaving the original authors out in the cold at best, or suing them for infringement at worst.
Hot? Cold?
Some parts are hot, others are cold...not telling how much of each but can at least verify YES, Mary Weers is head of a publishing company...other than that, gonna have to wait and see what other stuff winds up true or not.

Thanks for replying! =D my curiosity for this mystery is still piqued, but I'm sorry for yur mum, hope she gets well.
Yes, when we tell stories, we do lie, but it is a lie that others are WILLING to believe because it's all in harmless, good fun.
I think you're getting carried away with the word "lie", Bella.

"... intended this to be a bit campier when I started but like everything else it just sorta spiraled into something a lot more drama-filled."
My first thought on reading this description is that you can sum up a lot of Steven Universe episodes with that quote lol. Not that I think they don't plan for the drama, but rather just a lot of episodes start off simple & fun but then suddenly get really sad at the end.
In other words, I say you're definitely doing things in the spirit of the show lol.
A lot of them do seem to go that way now that you mention it...like Water Gun Checkers leading to Steven being eaten by a giant bird.

Well hope your mother pulls through anyway.
What worries me is that Bella used the word 'win' like that.
ChaosStar0 (Guest)
Agreed. GMs shouldn't be trying to 'win', they should make sure their players have fun playing the game. It's starting to sound like Bella's a bad GM.
KSClaw (Guest)
You know Bella, when the others have been tetlling you to knock it off, that usually means you're doing something wrong :I

Considering her namesake from adventure time, we really should of known she was kind f cruelly deceptive..
Yet to be seen if she nurfs magic in a expanding AOE like her namesake tho!

And THAT, is why that group of loonies want to implement Meta-Honesty. Wack.
Rastaba
When your GM says you are now the hero who saved your realm, THEY ARE LYING TO YOU!...hehehe.
So yeah intended this to be a bit campier when I started but like everything else it just sorta spiraled into something a lot more drama-filled. I had intended to have Lapis be a bit more cartoon villain-esque dubbing herself the Riptide Queen. Instead...well you've seen it. Anyways hope you all are excited to see where this goes.
Next page is Thursday.

So, while I don't picture this as having TOO profound an effect on the comics this month, my mother recently has been very sick and had to be hospitalized, she went into surgery today so...hopefully things go okay.
Not looking for sympathy, just felt like if I wind up not setting up more pages to post at some point in the near future, you can at least have sort of an explanation for why.
